Hi all! The name is MADS (they/them/he/him). I'm an Arizona based multimedia artist and lover of creatures. I currently specialize in pottery, prints, and digital commission work. All the dinnerware pottery I make is foodsafe, meaning you can dishwash, microwave, and eat/drink out of your new dish! ^_^

Ceramics

Even though I have been working in ceramic arts since 2019, I still feel like I am endlessly experimenting. I am usually not satisfied with a piece until I illustrate some kind of creature on it. I've found a love for using ceramic colored slips at midrange temperatues, which I can then carve with my Diamond Core "V" tool, or apply decorations with my Xiem bulb applicator. Common themes with my work include animals and monsters of all kind and queer imagery including pride colors and symbols.

Digital Art

Commissions, Art Trades, and Character Designs

I use a combination of traditional mediums and digital programs like Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop. Though I primarily work in ceramics, I also make limited run prints and stickers based on some of my work!

Patches

Hand Printed Patches

Each patch is hand printed from a relief block I carve out of linoleum. Patches are made to be sewn onto garments, like jackets, pants, or canvas bags.
